We Don’t Believe In Giving Tuesday
Community care is self-care. While we love the spirit of Giving Tuesday, we believe that giving back shouldn’t just be a holiday ritual, but something we practice throughout the year. That’s why, since 2024, 100% of proceeds from our Promote Homosexuality Forever Eye Mask have gone directly to G.L.I.T.S, a Black trans-led advocacy and direct services organization, dedicated to fighting systemic discrimination against marginalized communities. And now, in the wake of the current administration's attempt to dismantle the Department of Education, we’re eager to show up and help make a difference there.
At the core of Dieux is education
We not only want you to understand your skin, but how and why products are priced and packaged—because it’s a lot harder to get scammed when you know the truth. Education gives us power to make informed decisions—not just in skincare, but every aspect of our lives.
What's not empowering is the endless void of misinformation. In an industry that has, at times, glorified fear and ingredient-shaming, we’ve made it a point of pride not to demonize ingredients to sell you skincare. We’d rather make you an informed consumer, because you become more powerful when you have knowledge that’s evidence-based.
Education is foundational, and it doesn’t begin or end with skincare. That’s why we’ve donated $10k to DonorsChoose—and this is just the start. When choosing a charitable partner, DonorsChoose became the obvious choice for two reasons:
1.) Children are the future. The choices we make now will impact them for decades to come.
Kids learn best when they feel safe and have the right resources. With federal cuts to education, resources, and food aid, mutual aid has to fill the gap.
2.) Teachers are under immense strain.
Every policy decision hits them, and their students, first. As resources continue to dwindle, they need our help now more than ever, and we're honored to step up as a brand and support.
More about DonorsChoose
DonorsChoose is a non-profit organization on a mission to provide students with the tools and experiences needed for a great education. Founded by teachers, they exist so educators can focus on teaching, while they find solutions in the face of diminished funding, lack of supplies and programming, food insecurity, and safety concerns. So far, they've impacted over 2 million classrooms across the country.
We chose to donate $10,000 to the DonorsChoose food insecurity fund because 1 in 5 children already faced food insecurity in the United States, and when SNAP was revoked, that number went up. Even with SNAP reinstated, that number is unacceptable. You can’t learn or focus on an empty stomach, and teachers have been stepping in, over and over, to help children when they need it the most.
So, what's next?
We'll continue to find ways to spotlight DonorsChoose in 2026. While we are a skincare brand, community care will always be at the heart of what we do, and that includes supporting, helping, and inspiring the next generation to do what children should be free to do: learn and stay endlessly curious.
Thanks for reading. As always, you’re Dieux-ing Great.
